About Me

Hello there! My name is Lauren. I was born and raised in the "the Boot" otherwise known as Louisiana. I always thought I would stay there but thanks to my husbands career he has me moving around just a bit ..... twice since we have been married.  Did I mention we have only been married for a year and 10 months- Can you hear the excitement in my voice??? We currently live is Mississippi and don't plan on leaving for a while! Leaving my friends and family was hard but has forced me to continue to learn how to make new friends and get out there!  After college I started working in sales for a local magazine and now I do marketing for a local directory publishing company.  I love marketing and learning about the ever changing world of digital products and types of advertising. 

Things I love:

*Refurnishing old pieces of furniture - I am really sentimental about things....  I can't get rid of anything, especially something that has been given to me from a family member. So if I want to change it I just paint it with (my favorite) Annie Sloan Chalk Paint - You will see some of my project in my blog...

*Home design- I love to constantly look for new ideas or rearranging, redecorating....  Unfortunately I don't always have the dollars to make all my decor dreams come true, for now I just keep adding tear pages to my box of ideas

*DIY projects- There are many times I run to Etsy to make a quick purchase so I don't have to deal with the last minute stress I put on myself ...  But for the most part I attempt to create my own projects for baby showers and wedding showers I help throw. 

* Cooking - I don't think I am the best cook, but I am trying...  That's what counts right? When I first got married I was cooking all different things.....I ended up with a high grocery bill and tons of leftovers.  Since then I have have made some changes that greatly changed that! I'll share in the blog. 

*Newest obsession : Everything BABY!! - I'm pregnant, due January 2014 , so I have been been fixated on that just a bit! I never new it would be so overwhelming to pick out the safest car seat and stroller system that easiest for Mommy and Daddy to use.  Waves of stress start for me when trying to think which is the best bottle, diaper, crib, sleep schedule and the baby isn't even here yet!  I have made my choices and I will share in blog :)
